Security forces in Kalisizo, Kyotera district are hunting for armed robbers who varnished with 150 million shillings on Thursday evening.
The incident that was captured on Closed Circuit Television -CCTV shows thugs firing at a man and woman counting money inside a building.
This incident that has been recorded on CRB/160/2023 was reported by Morris Frank Lwanga 29, a businessman. Lwanga is a resident of Nninzi ward, Kalisizo town council.

The robbery occured near Ziridamu Hotel. Police have said the thugs dressed in black uniforms and masks used a Semi Automated Rifle – SAR to execute their robbery.
SP Kasirye the greater Masaka police spokesperson said thugs fired bullets in the air to scare the victims and nearby people before the robbery.
“The robbers retreated towards kalisizo park yard where it is suspected they had a waiting means of transport,” SP Kasirye said.
Police team led by ASP Tumukunde rushed to the scene where it collected two SAR cartridges. Such guns are commonly used by private security guards.
Police have started reviewing all the CCTV clips to trace for the robbers’ movement.
