Daily Press Uganda (DPU) is a non for profit media company founded and registered in 2020 to serve as a training ground for beginning journalists and also offer moderate employment for young people who struggle get jobs after leaving University

Vision:

Daily Press strives to be Uganda’s leading independent media platform, committed to providing accurate, accessible, and diverse news that empowers citizens in areas of climate change, human health, environment, water and sanitation, education and democracy as a way of fostering social justice through informed public discourse.

Mission:

At Daily Press Uganda (DPU), Our mission is to be a source of high-quality and reliable journalism that educates, inspires, and engages Ugandans in meaningful conversations in areas of climate, human rights, environment, education, democracy, health, water and sanitation. At DPU we are determined to uphold the principles of truth, integrity, and transparency, while promoting a fair and inclusive society. We aim to steer and uphold innovative storytelling, amplify the voices of underrepresented communities as a way of addressing societal challenges, and contribute to the growth of a democratic, well-informed, and united Uganda. All we do is not guided by nation’s human rights laws but also the UN 2030 SDGs.
