Karim Benzema the French national and Real Madrid star has won the Ballon d’Or award as men’s best player of the year 2022.
Benzema had a good season last where his goals show Madrid win La Liga title and Champions League thanks to his nerve wrecking partnership with Vinicious Junior.
By virtue of this evening victory, Benzema has made history as the fifth French national to scoop the award.
Others who have emerged as winners include Bayern Munich’s Sadio Mane and Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne came agonisingly close but in the end were pipped by the prolific Frenchman.
