President Yoweri Museveni has apologized to Kenya after his son Gen Kainerugaba Muhoozi threatened to capture Nairobi in a two weeks’ time.
Muhoozi who was until yesterday the commander of Uganda People’s Defence Forces -UPDF Land Forces too to his twitter account on Monday and said Ugandan army has capacity two capture Nairobi in a period less than two weeks.
Museveni on Tuesday promoted his son who was Lieutenant General to full General but immediately dropped him from commanding the country’s infantry.
Museveni in his apology said “I ask our Kenyan brothers and sisters to forgive us for tweets sent by General Muhoozi, former Commander of Land Forces here, regarding the election matters in that great country. It is not correct for Public officers, be they civilian or military, to comment or interfere in any way, in the internal affairs of brother countries.”
