4 More People Died of Covid19 in Kampala, Bududa

Fatalities as a result of novel Corona Virus Disease –Covid19 in Uganda have increased to 79 after four more people succumbed to the pandemic on Thursday, according to ministry of health.

The ministry of health statement issued today at 3pm afternoon giving an update of samples taken the previous day indicate that three people died of Covid19 in Kampala while the fourth victim was in Bududa district.

Besides the new Covid19 fatalities, more 204 people were found to have contacted the deadly virus. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 8,491.

Nevertheless, 4,470 have already recovered from Covid19. Out of the new cases, Kampala had 68, Agago 37, Kapchorwa 11, Busia 10, Kween 9, Namisindwa 6 while Jinja, Omoro, Bududa and Yumbe had five each.

Among the people who have succumbed to Covid19 include business mogul Francis Kitaka, who was the founder of MTK and Cipla medicine manufacturing companies.
