Museveni Gives Amin Wife House, UGX 15M Monthly Allowance

President Yoweri Museveni has responded to the cry of Madina Najjemba, a widow to former President Idi Amin and directed that she be given a house, a 4×4 car and a 15 million shillings monthly allowances.

Najjemba, according to a letter seen by Daily Press, wrote to Museveni in November, 2023 crying for help. Museveni has since replied her cry for aid and ordered state house comptroller to build her a house, buy her a vehicle and monthly allowances.

“I have seen your letter of the 9th November, 2023. How are you? It is good you wrote to me. By the copy of this letter, I direct the State House Comptroller (SHC), to buy you a car (4×4), build you a house, ensure you get medical insurance and give you an allowance of Shs.15 million per month,” Museveni said.

However, Museveni wondered what happened to Idi Amin’s entitlements including money. “What happened to Idi Amin’s entitlements? Who took the money?” Museveni asked in the written back to Najjemba’s cry on February 15, 2024.
