UPDF Refutes ADF Involvement in 7 People Killed in Kagadi

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has refuted claims of Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) in the killing of seven people in Kagadi district last night.

Maj Bilala Katamba, the Mountain Division Spokesperson said: “We would like to bring to the attention of Ugandans of an incident of murder that took place last night 29th Oct 2024 at around 8:30 pm, in Muzizi -A village, Kyaterekera sub county, Kagadi district where so far 7 people are confirmed to have died.”

Maj Katamba added: “Preliminary information indicates that members of a new cult whose name is yet to be established descended on people, most of whom are their family members and cut them using sharp objects leading to their death and others injured.”

According to Maj Katamba, UPDF, policeand ISO are already on the ground hunting for the culprits as investigations are on going to establish more details about the cult and the incident.

“The public will be fully updated on the progress of the hunt and the murder incident as more facts are established.”
