Today, 13th June 2024 during the 15th Diocesan Synod Meeting held at All Saints’ Cathedral Kampala, the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda who is also the Bishop of the Diocese of Kampala has made the 3 Clergy and 3 Laity Canons of All Saints’ Cathedral. These Canons are assigned special responsibilities as shown against their names.
1. Rev. David Serwada Ssalongo- Canon in Charge of Pastoral Care Ministry.
2. Rev Captain David Serunjogi- Canon in charge of Mission and Discipleship.
3. Rev. Dr. Grace Rubale- Canon in Charge of Education and Training.
4. Mrs. Vivian Igundura- Canon in Charge of Finance and Investment.
5. Hon Dr. Ruth Nankabirwa Segujja- Canon in Charge of Public Relations.
6. Mr Naboth Muhairwe- Canon in Charge of Canon Law.
Additionally, the Archbishop congratulated the Diocese of Kampala for making a big stride in making sure that the Church House loan was paid.
The Archbishop also reminded the members about the retirement of the Assistant bishop, Rt. Rev Dr. Hannington Mutebi which is at the end of this year.
Synod is the supreme governing body of the Diocese. It is composed of representatives from the parishes who form the House of Laity and a House of Clergy.
