The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, last night hosted his Rwandan counterpart, the Chief of Defence Staff of the Rwanda Defence Force (RDF), Gen Mubarak Muganga, to a dinner at Ndere Cultural Center in Kisaasi, Kampala.
The dinner, which was spiced up with great entertainment and cuisine reminded them of the eternal bonds of blood, history and culture that exist between Uganda and Rwanda.
The dinner was also attended by the Commander Land Forces Lt Gen Kayanja Muhanga, the Chief of Defense Intelligence and Security (DIS) Maj Gen James Birungi, Director Citizen and Immigration Maj Gen Apollo Kasiita-Gowa, the Joint Staff – Political Commissariat Maj Gen Henry Masiko, ESO Director General Ambassador Joseph Ocwet and Defence Public Information Officer (DPIO) Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye among others.
The dinner followed a meeting the two military chiefs had earlier in the day at the UPDF headquarters in Mbuya.
Regular visits by senior military leaders of both countries to each other cements the historical and special relationship between Uganda and Rwanda.
