Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has killed one of the alleged commanders of Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) group that attacked Kamwenge district killing 10 people on spot.
Ever since the incident, UPDF alongside Uganda Police Force (UPF) have been hunting for the remnants until today when one was killed inside Kibale national park.
Col Deo Akiiki said one of ADF commanders who attacked Kamwenge was today put out of action in Kibale national park at 9:00am.
“Recovered on him is one PK gun, two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) and Amoos,” Col Akiiki said.
ADF on Christmas night killed three more people in Kamwenge and also varnished with food items.
UPDF raided the Democratic Republic of Congo in November 2021 after bombs went off in Kampala leading to the death of nine people.
However, ADF has continued to attack various places in Uganda including killing 40 students at Lhubiriha secondary school at Mpondwe township near the Uganda -DRC border
