The Joint Security Agencies in Kamwenge District is investigating an alleged attack by unknown assailants who burnt a house in Nyabitusi I Zone, Busingye Parish, Kamwenge Sub-County in Kamwenge District at unknown time of the night of 25/12/2023 burning three people to ashes beyond recognition.
The deceased persons have been identified as Nibgwabizi Adrine a 72 year old, and two juveniles Niwalinda Amon 05 years and Byamukama Mathias aged 13 years, While two others managed to escape before the attack after being suspecoius who include.
Preliminary information, indicate that at around 2200hrs about 04 assailants 02armed will riffles invaded the above address and burnt a house with 04 Occupants and robbed 10 heads of goats and un specified kgs of beans from the house and thereafter burnt the occupants.
Prior to the burning, it is alleged that the assailants first attacked Cattle kral of one Rev. BWAJOJO GEORGE and tried to take a way all the 50 heads of cattle which were later released in the morning.
The bodies of the deceased have been retrieved and conveyed to Rukunyu Hospital for postmortem
A team of Updf, police and K.9 are tracing the routes of assailants and have them confronted.
