Bishop Hannington Mutebi the assistant bishop of All Saints Nakasero has said marriage is like a bar soap.

“It (soap) smells delicious but when you take a bite, it’s when you realize it’s not delicious but bitter,” Mutebi said.
He was presiding over a mass wedding at St Luke Church of Uganda in Ntinda, Nakawa Division, in Kampala.
At least 10 couples including two Uganda Radio Network (URN) staff Dominic Ochola and Esther Nakamya made vows with their respective spouses.
Bishop Mutebi reminded women to forget the worldly laws that talk about equality but prioritize God’s scripture which talks about being submissive to one another.
“You have made vows to love one another until death does you apart. You’re now one person and whatever you own belongs to you all,” Mutebi said.
