A television screen repairer Mujabi Sepuya has been disguising as a teacher and school director in Mityana district. Mujabi Sepuya has been charging parents of the children trafficked from Kampala, Mukono, Mityana, and Mubende district. The parents have been paying 100,000 shillings as schools fees for every term but they had never visited the school.
This information has emerged after six children were rescued from suspected traffickers in Mityana district. Three of the six children were trafficked from Kampala, according to Wamala regional police spokesperson, Racheal Kawala.
Kawala has identified the rescue children as Aisu Denis 13, trafficked from Kibuye in Kampala, Naluwembe Peva 3, trafficked from Ndeeba in Kampala, Jimmy Nsubuga 13, trafficked from Seeta, in Mukono, Namirimu Gloria 12yrs, trafficked from Mubende, Nakalema Moreen 5, trafficked from Ndeeba in Kampala and Ian Ssenkungu 12, trafficked from Mityana district.

Mujabi has been running the alleged school alongside his wife Grace Nankanja 35. Kawala said security received information that there was a person trafficking children from Kampala in the disguise of enrolling them in his school. The school was located at Bugabo cell, Kabuwambo parish, Tamu division, in Mityana district and the suspected male trafficker had named it after himself.
“The joint Security team comprised of District Police Commander (DPC) Mityana, District Internal Security Officer (DISO) Mityana immediately responded to the scene. At the scene, six children of whom three male and three females were found at the alleged school premises and they have been rescued,” Kawala said.
The rescued children are currently at Mityana police reception center awaiting hand over to their relatives. Police have established that the alleged school has never been formally registered with the ministry of education and sports. Besides, there was no learning activity taking place and it was in a sorrow state.
“It has been established instead of class work the victims were subjected to brick laying and looking after the pigs of Mujabi Sepuya Vincent. The parents to the victims have never had a chance to visit the said school premises and are charged school fees ranging from 100,000 to 150000 shillings depending on the classes,” Kawala said.
Mujabi has since confessed that he solely runs all the affairs of the alleged school together with his wife. “I am not a teacher by profession but a technician who repairs TV’s, AC`s, radios and other electronic items,” Mujabi told police.
