Police have arrested two men, Geoffrey Bukenya and Richard Ssewanyana, who are residents of Nabbingo, Kyengera town council over the theft of motor vehicle UAP 717S.
The stolen vehicle which police have recovered with the help of Closed Circuit Television -CCTV cameras belongs to Henry Jjingo a resident of Mpambire village in Mpigi district.
Police have since established that the vehicle was stolen from the compound yesterday night when its owner and other family members were asleep.
Patrick Onyango, the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, said Bukenya and Ssewanyana had two other accomplices who managed to flee when police arrived where they had parked the stolen car.
Theft of vehicles is one of the major crimes in Kampala metropolitan. In most cases recovery is made difficult by thugs who quickly paint them to change colour or deform them in order to disguise their appearance.
