Two Confirmed Dead in Musician Road Crash at Semuto

Police and health workers at Mulago casualty ward have revealed that two people identified as Lady Grace and Said Kabuye died on arrival following a road crash that happened at Semuto, Nakaseke district, in the wee hours of today morning.

It is believed that the musicians were returning from a music concert when their vehicle veered off the road, overturned several times until it settled in a swamp.

The victims, according to police and health workers at Mulago casualty ward, were brought in at 4:15am by a good Samaritan identify as Hassan.

One of the victims still fighting for his life is Lusuku Lwa Sementi hitmaker, Alimpa who alongside another survivor Ragga Fire had their legs broken as the vehicle severally overturned.

The fifth person who survived is yet to be identified but is also admitted at Mulago casualty ward.

Earlier information had indicated that three of the occupants had died. Others said the third body was retrieved from the swamp in the morning by police.

By press time, Savannah region police where the crash happened had not provided official details of the crash. Neither had traffic police spokesperson, Faridah Nampiima, had responded to journalists’ inquiries.
