At least two police officers attached to Moyo police station have today died as a result of bullets following an afternoon misunderstanding.
At 3pm, Police Constable Johnson Asega Kopi picked a quarrel with Constable Geoffrey Ogwal and subsequently shooting the latter dead.
The former also turned the trigger on his head an act that meets ingredients of suicide. The duo had been assigned to guard Moyo sub-county headquarters.
It is not yet clear what really triggered Asega to kill Ogwal and afterwards exterminate himself.
By press time, the scene of crime has been visited by the Deputy Regional Police Commander, District Police Commander and Officer in Charge of CID. The bodies taken to Moyo general hospital for a postmortem.
