The two children who went missing in Wakiso district three days ago have been recovered and reunited with parents. Mimi Michelle a 3-year-old child who went missing from her school English Medium School was reunited with her mother.
Assistant Superintendent of Police -ASP Luke Owoyesigyire, said the investigators have since established that Mimi was picked from class by a former pupil Nakilembe Catherine 14, and the duo got lost.
Owoyesigyire said the duo was found by good Samaritans who took them to Kawala Police station. Officers at Kawala informed their counterparts in Wakiso, where the case of missing persons had been filed.
“Both children have been re-united with their parents. They have been subjected to medical examinations to ascertain whether they are medically ok. More details will be availed as soon as possible,” police said.
Owoyesigyire has extolled the public for the vigilance exhibited when they saw two children moving alone and took the responsibility to bring them to police.
