Father Stabbed to Death While Taking Son to School

Fear has engulfed residents of Wasswa Zone in Makindye Division in Kampala City after thugs stabbed a 38-year-old father taking his Primary Seven son to school.

Moses Tusiime, woke up at a quarter to 5am to prepare himself and son. The thugs gained access when he had opened his door and attacked him with knives.

Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, said Tusiime tried to defend himself but he was overpowered. The thugs stabbed him severally in the neck. He lost conscious and fell down.

All this was going as his helpless son watched. Tusiime died at the scene before police arrived. Owoyesigyire said investigators have so far arrested two suspects identified as Umar Mugisha and Alex Busulwa.

Police have now launched a hunt for other people who could have participated in Tusiime’s killing. At the moment, police do not know whether the killers came purposely to eliminate his life or it was a robbery that turned bad.

Mugisha and Busulwa are currently being detained at Katwe police division. Police hope to use the deceased’s son to identify the killers. Makindye has of recent registered numerous murders in the last one month.
