Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga to Host 700 Worshippers Per Service

Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga, of Christian Life Church in Bwaise, has said he will be hosting 7,000 worshippers every Sunday. Ssenyonga said he will be conducting 11 services every Sunday where each will be attended by 700 people.

While leading the first praise and worship service since President Yoweri Museveni reopen worship places, Ssenyonga said he has resolved to have 700 people in each service because he has more than enough space.

Ssenyonga said his church sits on more than 15 acres of land and it accommodates over 30,000 worshippers. He said the big space will enable them respect and observe the Standard Operation Procedures –SOPs intended to prevent the spread of novel Corona Virus Disease.

“When I walked in here today at 7am, I found this space already filled. People said they are hungry and thirsty. When I saw what I saw, the scripture came to me. Jesus saw people scattered and had compassion for them. This is why we have resolved to 700 people per service which will be lasting for only one hour,” Ssenyonga said.

President said each church will be allowed to host only 70 people in the meantime. Nevertheless, Ssenyonga said he will be erecting tents in various corners of his church where people will sit distanced from each other.
