Man Stabs Sister to Death In an Argument

Police is hunting for a man suspected to have stabbed his sister to death in the wee hours of Thursday morning at Nakulabye village, Lubaga Division, in Kampala City.

Kasim Kyomuhendo, allegedly stabbed his sister identified as Aminah Namara at around 4am when they got a misunderstanding. Kyomuhendo is reported to be aged 28 while the deceased had just turned 20 years.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the deputy Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, said Nakulabye Police Station is already investigating a case of murder by stabbing. The incident happened today 24th September 2020 at Zone V Nakulabye.

“It is alleged that the Suspect Kyomuhendo Kasim, 28, stabbed and killed his sister Aminah Namara, 20, during an argument. The victim died at the scene,” Owoyesigyire said.

Kyomuhendo’s wife who has also been identified as, Harriet Komuntale, has been arrested by Nakulabye police purposely to aid in the investigations since she was allegedly at the scene as the murder unfolded could be knowing the cause of the incident.

Namara’s body has since been conveyed to the City Mortuary in Mulago for a postmortem. Nakulabye police is under Old Kampala policing division. Detectives from Old Kampala are now part of the team investigating the murder to ascertain the exact cause of the murder.
