Man Arrested Over Stealing UGX4M, 104 National IDs

Police in Kampala have arrested two suspects who broke into a company office and stole 104 national identity cards that people had deposited as collateral and four (4) million shillings.

It’s alleged that on the 03 Sep 23 at around 7:30pm one Kwikiriza Evans 22 years a resident of Katuga East, Mitanda parish, Kiwunga subcounty Ntugamo district stole 104 national identity cards from the safe and 4 millions which he had collected since he was a loans officer at T.M.K loans service in Kanaba-Ndejje Busabala road.

The theft was planned by two people Kwikiriza Evans and Rubogo Sam who was also a former worker in the same campany.

The suspect was arrested after a tip-off and flying squad of Kampala Metropolitan police East started following the suspect upto Kanungu-Kihihi where he was arrested with the exhibit in his travel bag.

The two suspects namely
Kwikiriza Evan’s and
Rubogo Sam are detained at Jinja Road Police Station.
