At least 19 people are now part of this year’s plane crash death statistics after the aircraft they were traveling in plunged into Lake Victoria on Sunday morning.
Precision Air Craft set off at Dar es Salaam heading to Bukoba airport but the bad weather forced it to plung into Africa’s largest lake.
Soon after news spread at around 10 am, Tanzania’s president Samia Suluhu called for calm adding that rescue teams were doing the needful to save lives.
Bur the latest information attributed to Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa indicates that 19 out of the 49 passengers who were onboard have died.
