Police have identified the body that was found staffed in a sack being ferried by a security guard in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Police on its night patrol intercepted Afrisafe security guard, Gideon Nabasa, carrying a heavy sack on a motorcycle.

The deceased has been identified as, Amon Kagezi, who was a resident of Kijangi village in Hoima district.  Police investigations indicate that Kagezi hired a motorcycle registration number, UFG 635P a week before his gruesome murder from Dennis Owakukikoru Denis, a businessman of Kijangi village.

Kagezi paid Shillings 10,000 for a self-drive to Buseruka town on private business. However, he disappeared with the motorcycle and joined Nabasa Gideon and Twinamasiko Ivan at their residence in Katogo zone in Bwaise.

But for yet to be known reasons, Kagezi was murdered inside the room in which Nabasa and Twinamatsiko were living. “It is unfortunate that the deceased was murdered at the home of the two suspects in Bwaise. Afterwards, Nabasa Gideon, removed the deceased’s clothing’s and stuffed the body of Kagezi Amon, in a sack.  The suspect was intercepted while transporting the body for dumping far away from his home,” Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson said.

Police recovered clothes of the deceased, stained with blood, as well as other clothes.  The motive of the murder is not yet clear though detectives were adding pieces together to establish the motivation. Police also is investigating circumstances under which a stolen motorcycle, registration number UFG 635P, from Hoima found its way to Kampala.
