A 23-year-old Ugandan man, Musa Musasizi, has been arrested on allegations of killing a breastfeeding mother and three other girls in a space of three weeks.
Musasizi, who has been arrested by joint security team has confessed to have killed Elizabeth Mutesi, Mclean Ahereza, Noeline and Kansiime.
The first victim was Ahereza who he killed, dumped the body in Nateete but later burnt it using kerosene. Musasizi said he killed Ahereza because she was dating another man and he could not tolerate it.
Masasizi’s second victim was Kansiime who he strangled alongside her three months’ old baby. The accused has told police detectives that he started dating Kansiime when she was three months pregnant. At the time, Musasizi said Kansiime was struggling with life after she had been dumped by her boyfriend.
Police Spokesperson, Charles Twine, said Musasizi has made statements confessing to killing each of the victims. Musasizi gives reasons for each of the killed ladies and he is been burning their bodies with paraffin and petrol.
Kansiime’s burnt body was discovered on 12th of this month, Noeline’s unrecognized body was found by locals on 13th while Mutesi was discovered on 14th. Some bodies were discovered burning between 4 am to 6am near Buganda royal tombs in Kasubi.
Mutesi, according to Musasizi, demanded a lot of money every time they had sex. On the fateful day, Musasizi said he gave Mutesi 50000 Uganda shillings after they had sex but she refused it demanding for more.
Police have since established that Musasizi committed the murders when he was in a sober mind and there is nothing unusual that could have forced him to act weirdly. Security agencies have since discovered that Musasizi went to a witchdoctor who convinced him that he need to kill many girls in order to get rich.
