
Police in Luuka District are investigating a case of triple murder in which three people were allegedly attacked and killed during the night of 11 September 2026 at Kimanto A Village, Budondo Parish, Bukanga Sub-County, Luuka District.
The deceased have been identified as Isabirye Denis Charles, 35, a boda boda rider; Nakasango alias Kampi Shamillah, 26; and her two-year-old son. All three were residents of Kimanto A Village.
Preliminary information indicates that the victims were attacked inside a house during the night. Their bodies were discovered on 12 September 2026 after the house was subsequently set on fire.
According to Busoga North Region Police Spokesperson Samson Lubega, police were informed of the incident by the area Local Council Chairperson following the discovery of the bodies.
A joint team from Busiiro Police Post, Bukanga Police Station and Luuka District Police responded to the scene and commenced investigations.
“Initial examination of the scene established that the deceased had sustained multiple cut wounds. A motorcycle reportedly used by one of the deceased was also found to be missing from the premises,” Lubega said.
A case of triple murder has been registered at Luuka Police, and investigations are ongoing.
Lubega added that police have recorded statements from relevant witnesses and are pursuing several lines of inquiry to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The public is urged to remain calm and to provide any information that may assist investigators, particularly information concerning suspicious movements or activities around Kimanto A Village during the night of the incident.
The Busoga North Police spokesperson further appealed to members of the public who may have information regarding the missing motorcycle to report to the nearest police station or provide the information through established police channels.
