The arch Bishop also informed the new care taker for the diocese that his term of office would run for 8months, from Tuesday 18 July, 2023 to 18th March 2024.
Luwero Diocese has been in the spot light since the house of Bishops nullified an elect Rev Canon Godfrey Kasana June 30, 2023, on the grounds that his integrity was misrepresented during the nomination excercise.
It is alleged that the character in question is to do with reports of infidelity by the bishop elect then..
Canon Semakula had been elected to the position of bishop by the House of Bishops in April and was set to become the fourth holder of the position.
