The territorial police in Rukungiri are hunting for Guma Justus allegedly for the murder of Twinomuhangi Venansio 45 years a casual labourer a resident of Omukishaha village Kakindo parish Bugangari sub county Rukungiri district.
This was on the 22/12/2024 at midnight at Ntungamo Trading Centre, Kakindo Parish, Bugangari sub county, Rukungiri district.
It’s alleged that on 22/12/2024 at around midnight at Ntungamo Trading Centre when Talent Confidence a aged 38 years a business lady, resident of the same trading centre heard somebody outside alarming that Talent they’re killing me.
The said Talent woke up with a torch and found the deceased on the ground while the suspect was on top assaulting him.
She removed him from the deceased as she went back to sleep when the deceased and Guma remained in the same trading centre.
That, on the 22/12/2024 at around 0630hrs, Nkwatsibwe Jastus 50 years, a shopkeeper at Ntungamo trading centre found the body of Twinomuhangi lying along Ntungamo Bugangari road.
He informed the area chairperson Munyaga Mustafa who reported the matter to the police.
The scene of crime was examined and documented, statements recorded from relevant witnesses and an exhibit of green sandals (bagagaware) identified to be for Guma Jastus(suspect), were recovered at the crime scene and the body conveyed to Rwakabengo HC3 mortuary for postmortem.
Inquiries ongoing as the hunt for the suspect is also being made so that is brought to book.
