President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni Tibuhaburwa has sacked the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Dorothy Kisaka over criminal negligence that led to death of more than 30 people at Kiteezi landfill.
Museveni in the firing letter issued by State House press secretary said the KCCA overall boss Dorothy Kisaka alongside her deputy Eng David Luyimbazi and Director Health Services Daniel Okello neglected their duties hence costing lives of innocent Ugandans.
It should be remembered that Museveni instructed the Inspector General of Government Betty Kanya to investigate the incident with the view of prosecuting the culprits.
In today’s dismissal letter, Museveni has directed the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) to probe the incident with the view of preferring criminal negligence charges.
After the Kiteezi landfill collapse, several people came out and pinned KCCA of frustrating their efforts to turn the garbage into electricity and manure.
