The Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety in collaboration with the territorial police has successfully concluded a three-day road safety campaign in primary schools across the Kigezi and Rwizi regions.
According to SP Michael Kananura the traffic police Spokesperson, the initiative aimed to instill a culture of road safety among school children, educating them on essential aspects such as road traffic signs, responsible road usage, and their vital role in maintaining road safety.
“By empowering these young minds, the campaign seeks to create a new generation of road safety ambassadors,” SP Kananura said.
Kananura added that the interactive sessions also provided an opportunity for the pupils to engage with traffic officers and clarify their queries,
