Police at CPS Kampala are investigating a case of suspected suicide that happened at Golf course at unknown time.
The deceased was identified as Bakole Simon. Its alleged that today 11/06/2024 at about 0703 hours information of suspected suicide of a male adult at golf course hole 16 was received by police.
A case of suspected suicide was registered.
The scene of crime was visited and examined by a team of homicide.
The body that was found hanging on a tree with a rope tied around its neck.
The same was searched and an identity card baring the deceased’s photo was recovered from its pocket with the names of Bakole Simon, aged 47 years, a market vendor at Nakaseero market and a mobile phone.
Later the body was retrieved and taken to city mortuary Mulago for post mortem examination.
Relatives to the deceased were informed via the deceased’s phone and they promised to travel to Kampala to make a follow up.
The body had all the signs of suicide by hanging with no wound or bruises on it.
The deceased was not known in the area where it was found and had no suicide note on it.
