
Preparations are in high gear as the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II will be marking his 30th coronation anniversary.
While the celebrations are to officially kick off at midday today , several guests have already been let in , awaiting the peak of the event.
Dancers have been at it since yesterday evening setting the atmosphere in Lubiri ,at Lubiri Mengo where the celebrations will be held.

Individuals have celebrated the Kabaka singing the highest of praises about him from across tribes and borders.
Thomas Tayebwa, the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Uganda commends the Kabaka for championing causes to restore the health of many ,fight poverty and advocate for unity among others.
He says; “Ayi Ssaabasajja, Emyaka 30 Nga Olamula Obuganda, Abantu Baffe, Awatali Kwawulayawula mu mawanga wadde Eddiini, Bafunyemu Ebirungi Bingi Nnyo. Okulyanyisa Obwavu, Okulwanyisa edwadde (Nnalubiri ne Mukenenya), N’okuleeta enkulaakulana mu Buganda ne Uganda nga Obwakabaka Bukolaganira wamu ne Gavumenti eya wakati. Tusaba Mukama Katonda Ayongere Okukuuma Akuwe n’eddembe.

Charles Peter Mayiga commends the people of Buganda for following the Kabaka’s lead and celebrates his Kabaka for steering the lead this far , 30 years down the road .
He says; “Munneegatteko tuyozeeyoze Ssaabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II olw’okuweza emyaka 30 ng’atudde ku Nnamulondo ya Buganda. Twebaze Omutanda olw’obutayabulira bantu be mu bbanga lino ne bwe wabaawo ebisoomooza.”
The Tooro Kingdom through is social media handle via tweeter has sent good will to the Kabaka upon is 30th coronation anniversary attributing it to the good ties between the kingdoms.

To mention but a few of a number who say he has supported the education of children in Buganda through sponsorships , promoted agriculture, seen to the documentation of Buganda land and at large caused development in Uganda stemming from Buganda.
The Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II is the longest serving King of Buganda since the founding of the Kingdom by Kato Kintu which happened in the 11th century.
On July 31,1993 , the Kabaka was enthroned at Naggalabi- Buddo when traditional mornachies were restored in Uganda .
