Police in Kabale district are probing suspected murder of unidentified male adult. The victim of the murder registered on CRB 573/2023 was found lying dead in Makanga cell, Kabale municipality golf course.
ASP Elly Mate the Kigezi regional police spokesperson said information was received by the DPC Kabale that there was a dead body lying at golf course club ground in Makanga cell.

Mate explained that a team of police officers visited the scene of crime and the body was found lying alongside the road near national water and sewerage corporation supply tanks.
“The body had multiple bruises, it was removed and taken to Kabale referral hospital mortuary for postmortem,” Mate said.
It has been established that on Saturday a one Tumwine James the local council 2 chairperson, a resident of Nyakibande cell Kitumba sub-county in Kabale district,
reported a case of stealing cattle and three goats by unknown person.
Mate said the deceased was found at the abatoir selling one of the goats but he ran away. He was late seen, arrested and beaten up by the mob action.
“He was brought to Kabale police station by people disguising as if they were taking him to hospital for treatment in critical condition but instead dumped him in Makanga where he passed on,” Mate said.
Police have called upon whoever is missing a dear one to visit the hospital mortuary so that the deceased is identified and taken for burial as investigations continue.
