Uganda has read her 2025/2026 fiscal budget worth 72 trillion shillings. Out of these, 5.4 trillion shillings has been allocated to the education sector, 5.7 trillion shillings has been allocated to the health sector. The transport sector which includes several highways and urban roads has been allocated 6 trillion shillings. Parish Development Model (PDM) has been allocated 1.59 trillion shillings. It should be remembered that each parish is given 100 million shillings to develop the poor persons at the village level.

Uganda Development Bank has been allocated 100 million shillings. Agribusiness has been allocated 1.8 trillion shillings, Parliament which is the second powerful arm of government has been allocated 1.3 trillion shillings.

Uganda has more than 520 Members of Parliament whose wage bill swells each year. There have been calls to reduce the MPs by at least a half but this call hasn’t gained momentum. At least 308 billion shillings has been allocated for industrial development, 12.9 billion shillings allocated to Uganda National Meteorology Organisation (UNMA).

At least Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) headed by Musinguzi Rujooki and expected to collect at least 37 trillion shillings out of the total 72 trillion shillings has been allocated 339 billion shillings for its operations. President Yoweri Museveni, said Uganda as a country is no longer regarded as a least developed country but a lower middle income country. All this Museveni said has been as a result of security provided by his government.
