Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine has recanted his past strong hate sentiments for homosexuality in one of his music lyrics .
This was during an interview on BBC in the UK following his first visit since a ban on his travel there for over a decade over such strong sentiments .
When asked whether he still holds such sentiments as he did while younger , Bobi Wine responded saying that he has had change himself as a product of growth.

He further added accusing President Yoweri Museveni Kaguta of sponsoring the anti homosexuality bill as a strategy to crack down the opposition with Bobi Wine as the major target .
According to Bobi Wine , the bill was not in the interest of the Ugandan citizens.
Following the interview responses by the former member of parliament Kyagulanyi parliament aired several responses against the opposition leader.
Chris Baryomunsi, Minister of ICT and National Guidance attacked Kyagulanyi, accusing him of trying to appease gays in order to solicit funds from their community, saying such actions aren’t correct.
He said; “Nobody should be intimidated by these threats by the international actors, if they cherish homosexuality, let them cherish it. But for us as Ugandans we don’t. MPs, advise your leaders, yes you may talk sweet to get money from homosexuals, but I don’t think that is correct,” remarked Baryomunsi.
David Bahati, Minister of State for Industry described as reckless, statements made by NUP President Kyagulanyi that President Museveni influenced MPs to vote in favour of this law and called out Parliament to call him out for being wrong.
