
Police in Nabilatuk District have arrested a mother and her daughter on allegations of beating a family member to death.
Mike Longole the Mt Moroto regional police spokesperson identified the suspects as Moru Magret 62, and Ilukol Faith 19,.
The duo allegedly beat and caused death of Lokee Carol 28. The deceased and the suspects are all residents of Namerireng cell, Nabilatuk Town Council, Nabilatuk District.

“It is alleged that the duo with the help of other village mates (whom we are yet to identify and cause their arrest) committed the crime on Friday at around 3 pm,” Longole said.
The incident happened at their home in Namerireng cell, Nabilatuk town council, Nabilatuk District.
“They tied the deceased with ropes and beat her up using sticks accusing her of aimless movements and stealing people’s property and later locked her inside one of the rooms,” police said.
Lokee was found dead on Saturday at around 5 am. Police said it’s team of investigation officers visited the scene and recovered items of evidential value.
“The body of the deceased was examined and handed over to other relatives for a decent burial,” Longole said. Police have reminded the public the actions of Moru and Ilukol are unlawful. The locals in the area have been urged to remain calm as investigations are completed.
