Judiciary Revokes Exam Cheat’s Appointment

The judiciary of Uganda has said that Ssemwogerere Amaari Musa will no longer be employed as a Grade 1 Magistrate.

The culprit was caught yesterday sitting examinations for Irene Mutonyi at the LDC Lira campus impersonating as Mukisa Anthony .

According to a news release from the Judiciary, the process of finalising the his appointment was almost through after which Ssemwogerere would be sworn in.

A news release from the Judiciary read in part; “The judiciary would like to inform the general public that Ssemwogerere Ammaari Musa,one of the newly recruited Magistrate Grade 1 will not be employed into the judiciary service .”

Ssemwogerere was appointed to the position of Grade 1 Magistrate on June 12,2023 by the judicial service commission alongside 86 others .

The chief Registrar Sarah Langa Siu mentioned that his appointment was revoked on grounds that integrity is a bedrock for the judicial system.

“Among the core principles in the code of conduct for the Judicial officers is integrity a bedrock to the proper discharge of the judicial office.”

Ssemwogerere upon apprehension at LDC yesterday was remanded to Lira Main Prison and charged at Lira Chief Magistrate Court of uttering a false document and impersonification.
