Uganda People’s Defence Forces -UPDF medical services brigade has today received donations of a brand New Toyota Hilux Double Cabin from PEPFAR Uganda and three Yamaha Motorcycles from the University Research (URC).
The equipment was were received by Brig Gen Patrick Ocen who represented the Chief of Medical Services, Maj Genl Ambrose Musinguzi.
Brig Gen Ocen thanked the two partners for supporting the UPDF and said that the donations will enhance the medical services offered by the UPDF to both its personnel and to the civilians communities.
He added that the gesture will go a long way is cementing the relationship between the Chieftaincy of Medical Services and the two partners especially in their efforts to curb the spread of HIV/AIDS.
The Director PEPFAR program Makerere University Walter Reed Project, Dr Fred Magala thanked the army leadership for good relationship with PEPFAR and promised to continue working with UPDF whenever they are called upon.
