BY S KWAGALA: The Uganda National Examinations Board has reminded heads of school centers of the closing in deadline on Monday 31 July,2023.
At exactly midnight that day, all candidates hoping to sit for their Primary Leaving Examinations-PLE, Uganda Certificate of Education-UCE and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education-UACE should have registered.
According Kalule Musamba, the principal Public Relations Officer UNEB, any student registering at the moment is to pay twice as much as those that paid earlier. Payment at the moment attracts a surcharge at 100 percent.

“Registration during this phase attracts a surcharge of 100% of the original set fees of 34,000/= for PLE, 164,000= for UCE and 186,000= for UACE. So, anyone registering now will have to pay twice the amount.”
Within the same time, students have been given opportunity to make any amendments in regard to their registration information at no cost until the deadline.
The candidates are to look out for correctness of names, Date of Birth, Gender, schools of choice, subjects registered for, and resolution of the picture. Past the deadline, no student will be taken in for this year’s sitting of examinations according to UNEB.
