UPDF Helicopter Crashes, Kills Two

The Uganda People’s Defence Forces -UPDF helicopter has crashed in Ntoroko killing its pilot, Captain Allan Tukamuhabwa, on spot. The helicopter which social media rumours had been gunned down by Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) crashed at around 2pm.

Maj Mugisha who speaks for UPDF Mountain Brigade and Brig Gen Felix Kulayigye who is ministry of defence and Army spokesperson confirmed that two people perished. Brig Kulayigye said the pilot died alongside a civilian who was inside the house on which the helicopter crashed.

Every year, a UPDF helicopter has been crashing since 2020. The have crashed in Entebbe, DR Congo, Bunyangabo, Kabalore, Ntoroko, and Butambala.
