At least 100 or more Somali nationals have been reduced to pieces of fresh by two car bombings that happened on Saturday in the country’s capital city Mogadishu. The numbers so far reported by President Hassan Sheikh Muhamud could tremendously increase since more than 300 other nationals were left nursing heinous injuries.
Two Improvised Explosive Devices were planted in two vehicles at one of the busiest junctions of Mogadishu, exploded thus leaving dozens dead and other dozens fighting for dear lives.
“We ask our international partners and Muslims around the world to send their medical doctors here since we can’t send all the victims outside the country for treatment,” President Hassan reportedly said.
Al-Shabab militants that are linked to Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility for the second deadliest explosion at the same junction in the last five years. The Al-Shabab said the junction that is near the ministry of education was targeted because it often gets financial aid from non-Muslim countries and this is intended to see Somali children deviate from the Islamic faith.
