Stallion Tebusweke, a Wakiso district resident who was beaten in a bar a month ago has succumbed to the injuries.
Tebusweke was allegedly beaten to pulp by a one Suleiman Bajunga on September 2, inside Gardena bar, located at Bujuuko trading center along the Kampala-Mityana highway.
Tebusweke’s clobbering was brought to police attention on September 6, by his wife, Esther Naiga. The reporter is a businesswoman based at Nalya Nansese village, Muduuma sub-county, Mpigi district.
At the time Naiga rushed to police, her husband Tebusweke was at Bujuuko health center receiving treatment but his condition worsened and he was referred to Mulago hospital.
Bujuuko police that had registered the case as assault has now changed it to murder by assault under case reference CRB 171/2022.
Police in it’s findings have established that the management of Gardena bar run away after learning about Tebusweke’s demise.
“It was found out that the complainant reported a case of assault at Bujuuko which later turned into murder by assault. The crime scene has been documented by division scene of crime officers,” Bujuuko police report reads in part.
Bujunga’s murder case has been notified to other police stations so that he can be arrested on sight. However, police are yet to establish what caused the fracas that has now ended Tebusweke’s life.
