Shock engulfed locals of Bugongi Road Cell in Kabale Municipality when they discovered their colleague who was a Boda-boda rider hanging in the roof.
John Bosco Twinembabazi, who operated at Highland stage was discovered after his friend, Sam Safari, with the help of area Chairman broke into his rented single room.
Safari became suspicious after not seeing Twinembabazi for two days. He checked his house and noticed that it had been locked from inside. Safari rushed and informed police which allowed him and area leaders to forcefully open the house.
Upon breaking the door, Safari and the Chairman show Twinembabazi hanging in the roof. The deceased allegedly used his bedsheet to commit suicide. He climbed his bed, added a blanket until he reached the roof where he hanged himself.
Police visited the scene and cut down the body. It was later taken to Kabale mortuary for postmortem examination. Investigators have now open a case file number SD 24/28/02/2021. By press time, detectives had not unearthed what could have triggered this suicide.
