Shock engulfed residents of Kyaliwajjala, Kira Municipality, Wakiso District on Monday morning when their fellow resident, Noah Gabeya, was found lying dead in a pool of blood inside her boutique.
Gabeya is suspected to have been killed by his boyfriend, Gerald Kabazi alias Ssentongo Reagan for yet to be known reason.
The deceased was aged 22 and no one knows the exact time when Kabazi attacked and killed her. Also known as ‘My Phone’, Kabazi became infamous in April when he attacked police officers at Kyaliwajjala Police Post demanding for his phone which he claimed had been taken by police officers.
Video clips and photos emerged where Kabaza was seen manhandling a policeman until he was overpowered by other colleagues. Deputy police spokesperson for Kampala, Luke Owoyesigyire, said Kabazi other pseudo names like Sekyanzi and operated a moderate business in the area.
Owoyesigyire said police responded to neighbours’ call after seeing Gabeya’s body. Her body was conveyed to city mortuary Mulago for postmortem. A number of statements were recorded from witnesses about what happened were also recorded.
As detectives hunt for Kabazi, inquiries are also ongoing to establish the motive of the murder.
